The internet & online communities (Tutorial 6)

My online community is the NZAOT values exchange website (see link on the side).

What is it?
The website is a place where, practicing OT's, student OT's and the general public can submit situations they have been in that they want to reflect on and get others points of views.

Purpose?
This site helps to enhance your reflective skills as an OT.

Topics discussion example: Equitable funding? The right to equal access to health & disability funding.

A good member: To become a member you need to sign up and have a login to be able to contribute to the discussions.

  • NZ is a small country you could know who is being discussed.

Disadvantages ever a traditional community
  • No face-to-face discussion.
